Striking events
In parallel to this exhibition several big events dealing with the problem of climate change will take place in 2010. Seminars, conferences, international symposiums, cinema and comic strip festivals, lowest consumption automobile competitions and other activities will on this occasion frame this substantial exhibition.
These events will highlight the know-how of Walloon enterprises in the field of new technologies.

A technological showcase
The general programme of activities to put in place throughout the year will permit the promotion of the Walloon and European high performance business companies in each environmental technology sector. This first class technological display can only stimulate the visibility of these companies at an international level throughout this year entirely devoted to the climate. It will be rounded off by conferences and meetings between specialists organised by the University of Liège, the Chambers of Commerce and the Walloon Union of Business Companies.
A meeting of the IPPC
Conferences, state of the art company general meetings and specialised congresses will be added to the calendar of events.
It is in this framework that the IPPC is going to hold its general meeting, assembling 200 member countries, in Liège. Moreover, following its membership of the ’Covenant of European Mayors Climate Initiative,’ officialised on the 24th of November 2008, the city of Liège also proposes to welcome the representatives of this authority.
A citizen’s charter
A citizen’s charter will be also drawn up in relation to the indispensable protection of our planet. It will include the ten citizens’ commandments in favour of the environment.and will be signed by personalities, who will be intermediaries in their respective fields, to make as many people as possible aware of this problematic
Television and radio studio
A permanent television and radio studio established in the site will record the interview of these personalities.
